Ever wanted to take a cruise on a traditional Burmese sailing boat? Now is your chance to do just that! The Chantara is based on Koh Samui and is a traditional ‘junk’ boat. It is 25 meters long and made completely out of teak wood. It is furnished with all the modern conveniences you need!
The junk boat has a large cabin that can be a lounge or turned into a double cabin with an en suite bathroom. The Chantara also has 3 double rooms on board, all with private bathrooms. The maximum capacity for this day trip is 50 persons.
Excursion from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan
We operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm. Join us for a gentle cruise to discover the beautiful scenery around Koh Samui’s neighboring island, Koh Phangan. Explore the colourful underwater world surrounding Koh Ma. The perfect place to go snorkeling with its crystal clear water, corals and variety of tropical fish.
After snorkeling, we head to Thong Nai Pan beach. You can enjoy a massage here or just relax with a cocktail or fruit shake in this secluded bay.

On Saturdays the tour starts at 9:00, not at 10:00. Return to your hotel should be around 6PM. Please note that the pickup times are indicative. After booking we will send you the voucher with the exact pickup time from your location.
Discover the stunning landscape around Koh Phangan! This island is located next to Koh Samui and is known for its laidback atmosphere. It is much less developed than Koh Samui, which makes it the perfect location to shoot some pictures of the surroundings. It also has some secluded bays and small islands left where snorkeling is still good. Have a look at the beauty of Koh Phangan and enjoy the crystal clear waters from the Chantara Junk boat!
We head to Koh Ma, which is a small island north of Koh Phangan. It’s actually connected to the mainland by a small stretch of sand. Here we stop for some snorkeling. The water here is crystal clear and you can enjoy the underwater world here. We provide snorkeling equipment (masks). You can just jump in and check it out! Make sure you don’t touch any of the coral, or feed any fish, as we want to preserve the beauty of it!
